Suggested Materials :
Hook.......Tiemco 100 size 10-12 (or similar)
Thread.....Brown 6/0
Tail..........Lemon Wood Duck
Body........Brown to light brown dubbing
Hackle.....Brown Hen or Light Brown Partridge
Wing.......Hen Hackle Tip
Step 1 |
Step 1
Tie in Wood Duck tailing fibers (length should be approx. as long as hook shank)

Dub body up to 1/16" behind hook eye
Step 3 |
Step 3
Tie in hackle feather
Step 4 |
Step 4
Wrap hackle 1-2 times with hackle pliers
Step 5 |
Step 5
Sweep back hackle evenly so that hackle tip lies flat along back of fly.
Whip finish.
