Our "Fly Fishing 101" clinics are a great introduction to the sport!
We'll talk about the equipment, fumble with some knots and guide you through some of the basic casting techniques.
There's no reason not to give it a try. We're friendly, we like teaching new people and it's FREE!!
These clinics are about 1 - 1.5 hours in length and we meet at our store on Saturday & Sunday mornings at 9:30am.

Our "Fly Fishing 201" class is an incredible value and a must-do on your next visit to the Jeffersonville and Smuggler's Notch Area!

Our Fly Tying 101 class is a great way to get your foot in the door of the fly tying world. We hold this class at our store once a month and it's a great way to fast track the learning curve associated with fly tying.
Fly Tying 101 is held on the first Tuesday of each month from 10 - noon

Feathers n' Friends
Once a month, the Green Mountain Troutfitters will host a guest fly tyer to lead an evening of tying instruction on his/her favorite patterns. Learn some new patterns and tricks from some of the best fly tyers around!
Feathers n' Friends meets at our store on one Tuesday a month from 6-9pm.

Green Mountain Fishin' Buddies
Our Green Mountain Fishin' Buddies club gives kids between 10 - 15 years old every reason to get away from video games and out fishing with a professional fishing guide!
The club meets twice a month for fly fishing outings, fly tying and other fishing related activities.
In today's digital age children have more distractions than ever before that cause a disconnect from the natural world. Green Mountain Fishin' Buddies gets kids connected!
Our guides volunteer their time for this club because they are passionate about getting kids out fishing and making great memories.

It's Completely FREE!
**Please Read...
- We encourage that kids take our "Fly Fishing 101" & "Fly Fishing 201" classes prior to joining this club
- Kids must have their own fly rod outfit, waders, boots, tackle and flies. This can all be purchased at our store
- Kids must have transportation to and from meeting spot
- Parents must sign Consent Form and Liability Release in order for child to join club and attend outings
- We welcome volunteers with open arms! If you'd like to volunteer, send us an email
