Still A Scorcher Out There!

Peyton displays the nicest brookie of the week from our first session
of GMFFC.  When Peyton arrived at camp, he had yet to catch a
trout on the fly!  Way to go buddy!
This current heat wave is pushing even the smallest and generally coolest of our trout streams toward the danger zone.  I just went out behind the shop to get a temp on the Brewster.....71..ouch!  The Winooski has been in the upper 70's/low 80's for at least the past week and the Lamoille is no different.  Both rivers are still high and muddy as well.  The best bets over the next several days is bass fishing.  Moving water bass options are limited, but if you have a kayak, canoe, jon boat or some other sort of floating vessel and a telephone, give a call and we'll give you some ideas.
Check out our website for Green Mountain Fly Fishing Camp for a re-cap and photo gallery from our 7/13-7/17 session.
