Low Water...Rain on it's Way!

Lamoille Bow
Fishing has been good this week with the cooler weather.  The water is seasonally low and the smaller tribs have been spooky as heck.  The Lamoille has fished well despite the low water and it has been fun getting out on some "low water" spots that have not been favorable most of the summer.  Wind was a big factor  this week so we threw streamers quite a bit.   Brown buggers were moving most fish but also caught fish on hoppers, princes, and small pt nymphs.  It looks like this wind will shift and sit a little as the weather is going to warm up mid week with highs around 85 in the Champlain valley.  Throwing hoppers during the warm spell could be the ticket.   Swing in if you need some cause we have a bunch at the shop.  Also, look for Iso's (#12para-adams) to be enjoying the warm spell.
Low water has kept most lake run fish at bay but a couple have trickled in some systems.  Until we get some rain to move those fish I think anglers will have to put in their hours to be rewarded. Anyway, along with this heat coming there is a increasing chance of t-storms but they might be hit or miss.  Good luck and get out there!
